Anyone a fan of it? I've been messing around with it a little and like the effects. Anyone else have any pictures to share or any pointers?

Here are 3 images I took today.

Tone it down! IDK if you know this but 99% of my pictures are HDR! Take a while to perfect it like I think I have.

I agree with John. But also the first pic is fine, just needs a touch-up. It takes some practice and diddling.

Here's a couple I did:

Still to bright for me. I load my pics to the computer as raw and then I work with them a Tiff's till the end and then say as a jpeg. what HDR program are u using? I think photomax sucks and I use Dynamic Photo HDR. I merge all the photo's in the HDR and tone map and knock the color down to 50%, then I take them and process them to my liking in Lightroom 2.
end me your email address and I can send u a WinRaw file of the HDR program I use.

Ok, I got Dynamic Photo HDR and I actually like it better than Photomax. I was up at Eaglerock Reservation today and took a bunch. Here is one I did through Dynamic Photo HDR.

Thoughts?

You are most definitely correct. Its easier to work with and the results are much better. Plus it lets You work with RAW images also. From now on, I think I'm going to shoot in RAW + L setting and HDR the ones that look the best.

Thanks everyone!

P.S.

If anyone wants Dynamic Photo HDR, just send me a PM and I will hook ya up with it.

Just shoot in RAW! No reason to use RAW + L, that takes up more room on your card.

Ok, good point.

I was editing some pictures I took today and noticed that ones with a lot of light through windows comes out pink in the hdr. Know any ways to correct that?

Ok, figured out my problem. I was never one to install any software that came with anything I bought for my computers, but this has to be an exception. I did some googling and found out to use the Cannon software to convert it from RAW to TIFF. Then load it into Dynamic Photo HDR to make the final adjustments. Here are the results with the same RAW image.

I recommend Light Room 2 or 3 to do your final edits after you make the HDR file then u can take out the purple and magenta that show up for some reason in HDR pictures.

Yeah Lightroom does kick serious ass. Thats all I use.

For HDR, I use Corel Paint shop Pro to merge them. Then send it to LR.

You know how I roll! Ever once in a while I do some crazy HDR, otherwise you can never tell if my work is HDR or not!
