Ok this is a girlie girl question....

How do they get the cars to do wheelies like that? Is it because of the torque that's generated due to an engine with a stupid amount of horsepower??

No I'm not going to go out and try it with my car - LMAO - although it is a rear wheel drive.... Hehehe! Damn should have gotten the Hemi!! :lol:

Your on the right track KD it is both horsepower, and torque but also has a lot to do with the weight of the car and the way the weight is transferred. Good question !

The idea of it, at least how I think it works, is they try to get the most weight of the car to transfer to the back when they launch. This way it keeps the tires from just spinning from all the power.
