The Little Falls has been turned off!

I was having a BBQ at my house yesterday and I walked by the falls and noticed the there were no falls and the river was bone dry! I was able to safely cross the river on the river rocks. The river bed reeks of dead and rotting fish and I saw a whole bunch of fish skeletons. Only a few pools of rancid stagnant water remain by me. The only remaining fish are a few large carp.

I found a notice in the lobby explaining why the falls have been turned off. The Passaic Valley water commission will be doing some repairs to the dam. I have never seen this happen before. It's quite a site to see no falls over the famous Little Falls. I will post pics when I get a chance.
