Cedar Grove police blotter

Officer Michael Grasso observed three men trespassing on the demolition site of the old Essex County Hospital Center on the west side of Fairview Avenue on April 3 at about 11:15 a.m. Further investigation revealed that the suspects were loading scrap metal taken from the site into a pickup truck. The three men, identified as Elmwood Park residents Richard K. Allen, 49, Harry C. Allen, 48, and Englewood resident Marshall T. Phoenix, 49, were arrested and charged with defiant trespassing and theft of movable property. The suspects were arrested, processed and released pending a court appearance.
