Campbell's Pond Pumping Station - South Mountain Reservation

Here's a place I'm sure that at least a few of you know and have been to. Nothing special but worth a trip if you're local, there's oodles of hiking and perhaps other hidden treasures in the woods of South Mountain reservation.

-My previous write-up-

Cool little pumping station on the edge of Campbell's Pond in South Mountain Reservation. It once supplied water to the city of Orange, now long abandoned and in a state of disrepair after several arson attacks and years of neglect. Other than that I know very little about this place.

You have to cross a rickety bridge to get there and the flooring is pretty ..unnerving

Photo nine is quite appealing, I like the color and the reflection in the water.

It's a piece of cake to find/access. I wouldn't come from too far away though, you might be let down.

Insanebuslady, I'm looking for some info on the place and I am going to make a page for it similar to Peerless Tube Company.

Sucks man, I have to say I'm not very surprised though. That place is a veritable death-trap, and it gets a lot of foot traffic from the Res. I've seen little kids running around in there, someone prolly got hurt and they had to shut it down. There was some great graf in there, some from people I know, some not.

Oh well, at least they didn't knock it down (yet)
